Yesterday was Evelyn's birthday. My baby is one now! She got her fisrst real dolly! (She was always just playing with boy toys before like Ozzy's trucks..) It's a cabbage patch with colour changing hair! I had kinda a weird reaction when I opened her up. It reminded me so much of mine when I was a girl, I just held her close and smelled her powdery smelling plastic and squealed with delight...all the while poor Ev was reaching for her and getting pissy! When I finally gave it to her she freaked out, and hasn't been without her by her side yet! aww.. we spent the day outside in yard playing and went for a family bike ride to store for popsicles, it was awesome day...

Husband missed it all though, he has been MIA for week working crazy overtime. 14 days straight for him @ 12 hours a day , means I do this all alone (kids are 4, 2 and 1 so its crazy hard AND tiring ) and we miss him alot! He has been making it home just in time to say good night to them, take a pill for his newly pained back and go to sleep. He has the car and the liscence to drive so we haven't been able to get out to get groceries or even go to church today, hopefully this will end soon and we can function like normal. Everyone is gettng a bit beaten down, I haven't really recovered well from all the illnesses in the house yet as I haven't had time to relax at all. with no help when I get kids to bed I spend two hours doing laundry and cleaning before I sleep to get ready for next day.... we needed the money I guess . Still, it feels weird to not even have a weekend to ourselves to just be a family, he always made that a priority before...
