so the interview went well I suppose. The foreman job was filled by some old dude, but the guy offered a job to my hubby anyway with thoughts of replacing the older dude soon. The foreman job was 20 grand more than he was making now but the job he got offered is only like 5 or 10 g's more. I dunno if its worth moving to a place we don't really want to be and selling our new house for. Hes gonna work a saturday next wek to see if he likes it . Its kinda shitty though becasue he fabricating background is racecars, hotrods and airplane shit...but this guy makes boring shit for petrochemical companies. I think my usband would be bored quick.
Its really hard to make these decisions because we as a couple really don't want to live there, but in the whole picture of our family (three kids under three) it seems good. We would live cheaper (our house there would be 20-30 gs less) , he would make a bit more cake , which would help with alot. We would also have three grandparent couples willing and eager to babysit as well as some more in law bros..so lotsa family for help with the kids which we don't have at all here. Here, though, is where we feel like we belong. There are great restaurants, clubs, venues for live music, just culture in general is awesome..and lacking there. its a tough call. We'll wait and see after he works there a day.
