I love love love the rain tonight. I was driving in Eagan when the thunderstorm was right on top of us. Lightning strikes and in the clouds more than once every 3 seconds. Driving home was so fun. Slowed way the hell down and just watched with child-like glee.
I'm not generally in favor of storms. Was once caught unprepared on the peripheral of a typhoon, and have since been of an opinion that mother nature is not to be fucked with nor romanticized. For tonight, though, I'm a fan. I would have been very happy to sit in my car, or at a window, or especially in a gazebo with a drink and someone to share it with. Not in a mopey way, but a "damn it would be so much cooler to share this with someone" way. Happy for the rain, happy for the non-emo expression of loneliness. A good way to drive home.
