so i haven't even started shopping yet. you know i love shopping and i really love giving gifts, but i just can't stand mandatory gift occassions. it all becomes reciprocity, check lists and chants. the thrill of thoughtfulness is lost in the ritual. i'd much rather give or get a gift on some random tueday morning.

lately, it's been the what made milwaukee famous album. i was actually listening to an old that dog. album today for a bit -- i hadn't listened to them in ages!

yeah, i missed that bit about bss too... i saw them at lollapalooza this summer, though, and i'm glad i did. i had tears in my eyes and a gigantic lump in my throat through about ninety-five percent of the set. they're one of the best live bands i've ever seen.
