What are you all doing for the Super Bowl? I bet its nothing as cool as being flown out to Boston to watch the game (Go Pats!!!). Well, i guess im going there to do more than watch the Super Bowl. The lovely folks at Osram-Slyvannia are flying my entire senior class (about 15 people) to Boston so that we can tour their HID lamp plant and take us out to dinner. The paper they gave us about "appropriate footwear for touring the plant" is crazy. Eg. Top of shoe must bea minimumof two (2) inches of the junction of the instep and the ankle. There's a list of about 8 other shoe requirements. Seriously, whats the deal with that? Do my Nike's fit into this? I don't know; i better go get out my handy-dandy pocket ruler (that I ALWAYS carry with me) and start measuring.

You know, your basic wine and dine, but this is for a bunch of college kids who have no purchasing power and who don't want to get into lamp manufacturing! I dont care though, it should be good time. Here's hoping for some good weather (please oh please dont snow!!!) so i can to Boulder in time for some Interpol (im just starting to see what all the buss was about).

Speaking of buss, I LOVE the Arcade Fire CD. Thanks Trash-man! Its just so great. Im also counting the days for the new Decemberists disc (how many are we at now?) and their show in Boulder. If you haven't already, everyone of you needs to go buy Castaways and Cutouts right now! It easily tops the Arcade Fire, which is saying alot. Colin Meloy can do no harm (case in point: I've "sampled" a few of his tour only release of Colin Meloy Covers Morrisey. Very good.) Maybe he'll do another solo set. I can only hope.

Big birtday coming up (not mine). what to do? what to do? I think i might have an idea, but im not going to tell you.

I hate interviewing for jobs. Its just so not fun and i really dislike this whole waiting around thing! Certain people just need to call me back and tell me what i want to hear! Vegas odds say they will, but its just this whole waiting process. You know, do i play it conservative and apply other places (probably but i dont want to) or do i just sit and wait. Oi Vey! And for emphasis: Oi Vey again! Luckily its still pretty early, which means i get lots of free pizza dinners on campus when the big-shots fly out to Boulder to try and recruit. It will all be over soon enough.
