It never ceases to amaze me, what effect the sensation of power has on a young man, how he revels in exploiting his pleasure once he's seen it work. One taunt leads to the next as he sees his subject cower, building his imagined sense of self worth. How delightful, the subtle acquisition of power and the ability to put it quietly, unnoticeably into effect.

Why do we always say, "I love you." when what we really mean is, "Will you love me?"

Human beings are so incredible in that we can create security simply by invoking our imagination. Close your eyes, bang you're alone. Too many people around you? Imagine you're in the pacific on a lonely island. I'm thinking of the beautiful scene in Prisoner at the Gate where the young couple makes love in a crowded hideout.
