Does anyone else notice your automatically expected to pay more for something just because it "new". I''ve started paying my bills online recently. Now you would think that this should save the companies that take part in online payments a ton of money. I mean it completely removes the labor costs of handling the incoming checks and statment stubs; data entry of the payment records and the storage of payment stubs, etc..
But does the savings get passed on the consumer? (namely me) Noooooo! I'm now charged a "convenience fee". I think I'm going switch back to sending in checks just to spite the greedy bastards.
