I made it back about two hours ago. Pictures and a few details will be forthcoming. It's a difficult experience to describe, but over the next few days I'll give it a try. In the meantime, let me put it like this...
Over the course of the last few weeks, I've suffered from sleep deprivation and sheer exhaustion more times than I can count. At one point, I even collapsed and was out cold for a while (and that was before I even left). I suffered countless bumps, bruises, cuts, and scrapes, and even suffered a couple concussions (once while unloading gear from the ship, and another time while fighting to keep our kitchen structure from being blown away by high winds). There were several raging dust storms (the strongest clocked at 60mph last week on Monday), and more hard work than you could imagine. When I arrived I was sore all over, and despite my intention of finding one of the many camps offering massages and pampering myself - I never got around to it. During the whole of the last two weeks I've been in fairly serious pain in a few different parts of my body at any given moment (no matter how far away from my senses I was). In short, I am completely spent.
All that said, though, I'd gladly do it again in a heartbeat. It's a small price to pay.

This is a picture of me on the night of the Burn. Wearing my tricked out gas mask, and standing in front of my 40-foot space pirate ship (on the left) and my friends' 80-foot tall flower.

I'll be around for the next few months. You'll let me know when you're coming over this way, yes?
