Egads, it's been an insane week. As mentioned in my last journal entry, Space Island has had to stop operating as an event venue for the time being. We're on our way to turning the space into a shooting location for film, video, and photography, but it's still a bit of a crunch. I appreciate the kind words from friends and people in the community, it's meant a lot to us all. If you're able and willing to donate, then thank you. Better still if you have a need for a location shoot in downtown Los Angeles, put us to work! As a location, Space Island offers:

3,100 sq. ft. indoor space
4,000 sq. ft. outdoor space
Bathroom/shower facilities
Full kitchen
Indooor/Outdoor bar
Wireless internet access throughout the facility
In-house workshop (nearly any prop or set piece can be designed/created on-site)
Easy equipment loading through front or back
Easy access to the 5, 10, and 101

Aside from that, work on the ship continues. I'm getting my things together and helping to get things organized for the camp, and losing my mind in the process...
