Framing on the lower deck is in place, now we're working on the aft upper deck. After that will come the forward upper deck.
From there comes the planking and sidewalls. We've had a number of discussions on directions to go with the outer hull, ranging from sheet metal to shiny fabric to layers of cling film over a sea of electronics and lighting. By then, of course, we'll have run the essential wiring and rigged in the additional generators to support the sound system.
We're hoping to unveil the completed ship at the Leo's Ball on August 13th, then take it out into the desert for 7-8 days of solid performing. After that it will be back to Los Angeles for further tweaking and adjusting, and then a west coast tour in the fall. Woohoo!
