I was going to write something about the Canadian elections, and in doing so wanted to look up the name of the winner to make sure I had it right, but alas less than 24 hours after taking place, both the BBC and CNN consider it old news and don't even list it on their main page. That's it's own social commentary in itself.
Let it be known, though, that from this point forward I think we should all start referring to George W. Bush as Dr. Stupid. Stephen Harper (the conservative who won the Canadian election) shall henceforth be referred to as Mini Me. Perhaps Blair will make occasional appearances and try to interject his opinion, but that will only be met by comments of "zip it!" and "www zipit dot com!" from the nefarious Dr. Stupid.
All that said, what's going on with me? I'm normally much more rambly and wordy in here, so a week without posting seems kind of odd. I've been here, and I've been corresponding, I've just been at a bit of a loss for words on my own situation. Even now, I'm a little unsure of what to even write.
While I'm still in Arizona and planning on getting back to LA full time in the near future, my path has found a bit of a detour. Next week I go to Canada. Vancouver, to be precise. Going to meet a friend*, and to see what sorts of adventures life may have in store. This could really be exciting, I'll keep you posted.
Professionally speaking, I need to do a few things. Blow up my resume, then re-think the process. Pick a handful of story ideas, then craft the perfect pitches. Sort out a few ideas, and put together a couple more mix sets. Gather a few more thoughts, then work on original material. Then finish some more sketches and designs, and work on some new art pieces and bits of costumes.
Speaking of art pieces and bits of costumes, tickets have gone on sale for this year's Burning Man. I don't have my ticket yet (damn you, poverty!), but I'm certain I'll be there. Watch this space for future rambles on the subject, but no specific things to report at this time.
All that said, how've you been? 2006 being nice to you so far?

*And by 'a friend' I mean someone special. Very special. In fact, someone that I'm completely, totally, utterly, and ridiculously infatuated with, and whom I think may fancy me. I could go on and on, but as you all know, I'm shy...

Wow, have fun in Vancouver (my old home). Infatuations are half the reason for living. I hope it goes well for you.
2006 has been beating me senseless with wet noodles and leafy vegetables, but I think I like it. ha!
