Is it 1985 or 2005? I thought I knew, but lately I'm not so sure.
I watch maybe two hours of television a week. In the last couple weeks I've heard 3 different songs from Madness on TV commercials (I don't remember what was being sold, but the songs were The Sun And The Rain, Our House, and It Must Be Love).
Howard Jones, Bananarama, Madonna, and Depeche Mode have all released records recently. While the first two are alright, Madonna's is pretty good and Depeche Mode's latest album is brilliant. New Order dropped an album earlier in the year that was pretty good.
Both Duran Duran and U2 have released concert videos recently. I haven't seen the Duran vid, but the U2 concert is incredible.
INXS had a single in the top 40. Granted, it was purely a single release (following the successful completion of their RockStar reality show), but there they were nonetheless.
And of course, back in July Bob Geldof organized this huge-ass concert on multiple continents in an effort to help the people of Africa.
Let's do the time warp again...
