Somebody forgot to put the password on the computer at work Now I get to play on the 'puter.
BigDirtyS put it correctly when he wrote that since he returned from Burning Man all electronic items seem stupid to him and I have found myself in the same boat. I have been avoiding my phone, computer, and friends that were not at the burn. But I think I have finally decompressed enough to get me beyond that point hence my finally updating my journal.
The burn this year was absolutly amazing. It was my first year and I went up for a full 13 days so I was allowed the privilage to see the city built, busy as hell and then leaving as the only people that were left were the DPW for clean-up. I divided my time between the Crackhaus which was a splinter camp off of Thunderdome and Thunderdome. I cannot even express how exciting it was for me to be there after years of seeing videos of the fights and my friends and just the plain beauty and art of the playa and now finally being able to expeirence it myself.
I did make the mistake of voluteering in the "Pigkiller Cafe" aka the Thunderdome kitchen which while I enjoy cooking doing it during the heat of the day almost everyday that I was there was a bit annoying but I was happy to help out. I can say that if I ever have to make another piece of fry bread in my life I will probably go insane
I was able to get my turn in battling in the dome! It felt like you were flying, that is until a foam covered bad hits you upside the head but it definatly an adrenaline rush.
Okay, this journal entry is getting quite long and I haven't even begun half of the cool things I witnessed out there that I would like to share with you so....ummm....yeah....I will write some more later.

Thunderdome is quite possibly the coolest thing on the playa, and the noise of the onlookers is even better. You can hear it way out on the playa.
I didn't realize that it was your first year! You have that seasoned "burner" look about you.
