Bad night.
It was mostly just a slow day and then my best friend and I decided to go to see 1408. It was pretty good, I don't think it was worth full price, but there were a couple humorous moments and some jumpiness. For the most part, it was just too piece-y for me. Like things weren't totally put together or explained. I want to know who the hell was swinging the hammer and who that was in the duct. Anyways, good story, probably better in the book from what I hear.
Anyways so on the way out, my friend was talking away and kept running into me and then stepped on my sandal and broke it. Totally ripped the fabric, beyond repair... and I'm crafty, trust me, it can't be repaired. I feel bad b/c she felt really bad but damnit those are (were ) my favorite shoes! I have had them for I don't know how many years and they were cheap but I love them and they are the most comfortable things ever.
Guys, let me put shoes in perspective for you a bit. You know that grungy ass baseball cap you refuse to pitch (or wash)... it's like that. I loved them. Just b/c you have one cap and we have 40 shoes makes no difference by the way. As stupid and girl as this sounds, I almost teared up when I looked down and saw the rip. I mean I was nice to her, I didn't want her to feel bad, but I was so sad. Granted I am pms-ing so I am a bit more emotional, but still lol.
So good night. I just had to let everyone know that I was in mourning. If anyone ever sees the really squishy foam Old Navy sandals from at least 3years ago that have the fabric striped thong, I will pay a lot for a new pair... or just love you forever. Hey the birthday is in a couple months, why don't I just attach a pic of the survivor in case anyone gets ambitious.
Lord I'm neurotic.
