I went to the movies by myself tonight. At the risk of not sounding like a Heartless Bastard, Stranger than Fiction was an absolutely beautiful movie. More romantic than comedy, but it's really great. I think tomorrow I'm going to try and catch Let's go to Prison and Fast Food Nation. I didn't even know that there was going to be a movie based on Fast Food Nation (it's not a documentary either, which makes it even weirder)...and apparently it's only being shown at like three theaters in the Greater Seattle area currently. I guess Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause seemed like more of a winner.

I'll try to get around to checking out some of your musical suggestions soon. Feel free to suggest more. I've been blowing way more money than I should at Silver Platters lately trying to check out new stuff and I'm starting to run out of stuff that I've been meaning to check out but haven't. and if you're gonna recommend something, give me an album or something to get started.

Awesome! It's such a great flick. I highly suggest the book too. It's got a more UK-centric vibe to it, but it's an excellent read. A lot of guys say that they read and watch Fight Club to learn how to "grow up and be a man", but High Fidelity does it for me. And having worked at an independent record store for a little bit, I guarantee that almost every interaction that you saw between customers and employees rang true. smile

Also, all together I think I spent a grand total of $730 for the system, extra controller, 3 games , and the extended warentee. It would've been $830, but I had $100 worth of trade in when I reserved it, and once it was reserved I was able to pay it off like layaway to spread the cost over 3 paychecks.
