I hinted at it a couple of entries ago, but now it's essentially official. I'm going to volunteer in reconstruction efforts in Haiti starting in about three weeks. I'll be working with Hands On Disaster Response in Leogane, a small town just outside of Port au Prince that had 90% of its buildings destroyed or damaged by the earthquake. I'm stoked, humbled, and still kind of in shock. I'm also broke, so if you feel like donating to my plane ticket-immunizations-gear-passport renewal fund, it's on paypal under tremodian@hotmail.com.
