While I'm probably a bit out of touch with 'what's on' the radio, while I was in San Francisco the last few days on business I was driving to the airport listening to 105.3 on the FM dial and discovered The Lovemakers. Particularly 'Prepare for the Fight'. I repeated to myself over and over the artist names in a (vain) hope of remembering it as it was 5:30AM PDT and I was returning my rental car when this happened.
Fortunately, a quick google for 105.3 san francisco and I found it. I clicked through various charts/info on the page and found it. I'd been searching on 'the lovers' and wasn't getting anywhere.
Don't know if this is popular, or only something that they play at 5AM. But it's one of my new favorite albums. They're probably the next back street boys or some teeny bopper band and I don't know it and when they hit here in a month or two after being over promoted you can all come and jeer at me for falling for it, but I really like some of the lyrics.
Kind of reminds me of having to say "I liked MIghty Mighty Bosstones before they were cool...."
