The obsession has been reignited!!!
Back in March, me and Beastwars went to Lake Tahoe to see Les Claypool's Fancy Band play at Mont Blu. We were so so so excited to see Les because, well, I had seen him a year prior and he absolutely blew my mind! And Meg had never seen him and his Fancy Band play live, but she was crazy jazzed because she plays cello and there are 2 cellos that play in the Fancy Band. Well, one. Sometimes 2.
Anyhow... Here are some pictures from that night before I go on with the story.

Yeah! Good times! lol
So, we got over to the venue just in time for the opener witch was a group I had never heard of before, Beats Antique. The Les Claypool show I went to before had an incredible opening act that turned on my love for freak shows and burlesque, Yard Dogs Road Show with Black and Blue Burlesque. AMAZING! So, I was confident that whoever Les chose to open would blow my mind.
"Mind blowing" doesn't even begin to describe that show.
Beats antique is a band that includes a DJ that spins and mixes, a drummer, strings, horns EVERYTHING! It's not a hug band, but each song features different instruments and stuff. There are also dancers that perform during their songs. And their style is really kind of weird and sick, which is right up my ally!
We walked into the venue and squeezed up to the very front just in time to see one of the single best performances of my life. Three girls in white were dancing on stage with white gas masks on and.... *drool*
Thus began my obsession/fetish with gas masks. LOL Seriously! That was the single sexiest thing I have ever seen! Oh mannnnnnn

OH MY GOD, RIGHT?!?!
While watching Beats Antique, I also fell in love with belly dancing after I saw the drop dead gorgeous and incredibly talented Zoe Jakes. But that's a whooooooole other story.
Please please please watch this video and fall in love:
You totally need a cold shower now, don't you? I know I do.
Well anyways! I kind of let my obsession slide for a while after I couldn't find a quality gas mask I could afford. And slowly, I kinda forgot about my intrigue.
Well, in a friend's blog recently, they had pictures of a dude wearing a horse head mask and I thought that was so fucking cool! Hahaha! And I remembered that when I saw Beats Antique, there was a part of the show (during Roustabout) that they were all wearing animal head masks and being silly.
Horse head:

Awesome much?!
Well, it got me thinking about Beats Antique again and then my gas mask fetish came back and slapped me in the face. So now, I am back on to the mission of finding an incredibly awesome bas mask. Like, it has to happen! If any of you have bad ass gas masks, can you point me in the right direction on where I can find one? And not just a stupid rubber one. Like real.
So, there's today's story! I have a gas mask fetish! Run and tell that shit!
This is also one of the first sets I fell head over heels in love with: Toxic Tea Time by Boomie

Yes indeed.

Oh! Go give my poor set some love: Unsummer

Also, if you have a mind to, check out my unsubmitted set for kicks:Kinky Reggae

Alright, that's all for now! Give me gas mask tips preeeeez!
XOXOX
