It's really, REALLY National Moth Week!!!
I spent some time on the porch tonight choreographing an interpretive dance in honor of our blessed, nocturnal, flittering bat-food friends!!!
I didn't work too hard at it, but I DID stay up and watch a bunch of mindless adult swim clips on youtube. *shrugs* As of right now, my Moth Dance looks something like this:
Sans the Jesus, of course, and mine is set to The Joy Formidable ("The Greatest Light Is the Greatest Dark") instead of Led Zep. And I have more hair on my head.
I've also been considering how much effort it would be to catch enough moths to rub their wings, get some of their wing-ash between my thumb and forefinger, spit on it, and paint a gray scale Garden of Earthly Delights on my forehead. I would only take one dab from each moth so as to not inhibit their flight (the Moth Lords frown on THAT), and the Moth Lords LOVE Hieronymus Bosch. *shrugs*
They BETTER, anyway; I'd hate to see a moth bawl.
[Thanks to my friend Pam in WI for THAT one-liner...cheers!]
Anyway, it is WAY too late to compose a fitting haiku about moths, but feel free to share yours. Just don't use up ALL the good words; I know what I'LL be doing tomorrow night...

I really WAS baked last night. It had been quite a while (almost, like, two whole WEEKS!).
One of my Phishing friends swung through...I hadn't seen that cat since he left for the Deer Creek shows a bit ago...
Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
