Wow...head first into another week, and Monday's already done with. Time flies...
These one day weekends are a challenge on many fronts. First and secondly, I have to squeeze two days worth of fun into one day with the kiddo, which leaves precious little time for getting things done around the house. This time around, we had our annual Beltane hike at the Merwin Nature Preserve after playing with the neighbors' kids all morning. It was cool that chefdaddy and his daughters joined us this time; his youngest's fascination with mud rivals my daughter's, and it was cool to see him TOTALLY wipe out in the elements down by the river. Ha ha!!!
Another challenge has been reserving enough energy for some "me" time at night. Most nights, I am good to chill on the porch and socialize online. Facebook is folks I know and actually hang/have hung with, but SG has become my second most haunted dig. It's like a bar filled with beautiful nekkid chicks worth talking to, and the other dudes aren't complete choads (like in the bars around here, except IBC when I know most of the people there). Thanks for that. Speaking of IBC, I DID get there on Friday, having found an overnight sitter (thanks, Mum), There was a nifty techno/dubstep kinda DJ guy performing (I guess he's pretty big for around here...he's opened for DJ Keoki and the like), and I got to chill in the back room behind the stage with all the beautiful people
Work has been brutal. The builder is getting all rushed to complete the first 36 unit building, and I've been pulling all the main service feed for the individual panels. I have six more to go, and will have used close to 5000' of 1/0 (3) SEC (pretty heavy aluminum wire bundle). What will be the mechanical room is starting to look like something out of a HP Lovecraft story...who invited Shub Niggurath? I just found out that my boss told them we'd have two crews out there, which is funny since he considers me a "crew" unto myself. Of course, he HAS been sending a totally green new hire with me, which hinders more than it helps. *rolls eyes*

So, as I plunge into Tuesday through Saturday, this is the image I try to keep with me during the day:
