My life has been pretty uneventful lately. Work has improved somewhat (though the pay hasn't...Oh well). At the moment I know I want to go to grad school, so it doesn't make sense to start a new career if I'll be there for such a short time (fall is when I want to go back to school). Either way, I'm sure it will work out. One step at a time...
I was just watching Howard Stern on Letterman. I can't stand Howard's show. Never liked it, never will. But I must admit I have a ton of respect for him from handling the Clear Channel situation, fines and all of that stuff. He gets fined for things he's been doing for 15 years. If you listen to an episode from then and now, there wouldn't be much of a difference. I'm thinking about giving up my cable for satellite radio now (He and Letterman were kind of pitching it). I won't listen to Howard on it, but I'm sure it will get much more use than the old idiot box. Besides, radio is awesome, but it's seen much better days. It will be interesting and fun to see what satellite does for it.
Here's another thing that makes no sense. Howard talks openly about sex and sensitive topics and it's too much? Meanwhile, if you turn on most any daytime talk show you'll find such lovely topics as "I'm 15 and you're 16. Are you my baby's dad?" Veteran's day recently came and went; ABC (I think) wanted to show Saving Private Ryan. Ten sizeable markets opted out, afraid that they would get fined for showing something so horribly graphic.
