On the New Years resolution to get into shape.
After Holidays Weight: 277
Sunday's weight: 265.
My goal is 200 to start. Then we'll see if I can't get down to my healthy BMI for height/weight (around 165-175).
Before I was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes, I topped out at about 317-320. I have maintained 255-260 until this year I went ape-shit with the food over the holidays. 20 pounds!!! It goes on fast.
So, I have a calorie counting sugar free protein/fiber shake I do 4 times a day. Also, I do 8oz of real juice (apple and grape) with a Acai/Gojii super fruit blend (from COSTCO) twice a day. Then, when I have to eat real food it's lean meat and veggies, whole wheat bread or pastas. Working hard to keep my blood sugar down and my energy up. I am not planning on a weight-loss surgery, unless I can't get my blood sugar under control. Those lap-band type surgeries are shown to instantly cure Type II Diabetes. We'll see. I will have the practice of living on 4 small liquid meals a day, so who knows?
I start the gym tomorrow morning. Workout is 6 days a week (only 5 this week - we had to round up the stray kitties to take them to their new home... That was a FUCKING disaster...).
MON - Cardio, Upper Body
TUE - Cardio, Lower Body
Wed - Cardio
THUR - Cardio, Upper Body
FRI - Cardio, Lower Body
SAT - Cardio (longer endurance training).
SUN - Rest OMFG REST.
I have a routine of roman lift up style crunches I do and a handful of middle-section stretching and strenght exercises to help the back. Once I drop 40 pounds, I should be able to do bouncy-ball crunches again (exercise ball, but it's more fun to call it BOUNCY BALL!!).
I used to weight train and once I got the computer nerd job, it all went to hell. It's going to be an ugly trek to my goals, but it's worth it. So. Pictures soon, and then once a week I want to update the blog and the pics. I warn you - this shit is going to be ugly at first.
At some point I will need a flash-radiology super one shot hair removal (any ideas? There has to be something like in that old movie about a virus where the people stood in a chamber and then a *FLASH* and then all the hair was gone? Anyone?). Also, probably get a tummy-tuck full-mid lippo once the weight is at a normalized maintainable state. I don't imagine the belly is going to be flat until I enlist the knife people.
So, here I go. Wish me perseverance and inspiration.
Once I have my body back under my control, it's on to my writing and music (I of course will be dabbling in between wheezing and starving).
