trauma

a recent dream -

Morning broke in the city of Rijeka, a port city in Croatia. The Phone rang.

"Halo"
"Zar sam ja uznemiravanje? (Am I Disturbing you?)"
"Ne (no)"
"Vae usluge su potrebne. (Your services are needed)"
"Ja sam sluanje. (I'm listening)"

The conversation goes on for about 15 minutes. It seems I'm going home. 18 hours later I land in Los Angeles, make it to a warehouse loft by the beach. That's my place. A huge space, with nothing but a small kitchen, a bedroom, and my little private beach, even though I cannot swim. One day later, a message appears on my blackberry device

"Call this number. xxx-xxx-xxx1

I call the number. A feminine voice answers.

"You rang?"
"You got my message. I need you to make a pickup."
"You flew me halfway around the world for a mere pickup?"
"This one is special."
"I'm listening"
"Go to the airport to the arrivals level of the international terminal. Go down to customs, you're waiting for people. You have security clearance."
"Live Cargo?"
"You'll instantly recognize them. Bring an SUV"
"How many am I picking up?"
"Three"
"It'll cost you."
"You'll be paid handsomely."

I make my way to the airport. I have no idea how this woman got me into a sensitive area. But I had clearance since I was with the U.S. Marshals Service. So I had no problems. I waited at the agricultural check area after one clears passport control. Three ladies later make their way towards where I am. I instantly recognize them.

"No way...It can't be."

The three see me, and are instantly beaming..."Trauma!!!!"

I was here to pick up Prussia, Liu, and Josephine. The four of us are in a group hug, and they knew who had sent the message. But I didn't ask questions, the device rang again.

"Da? (yes?)"
"ste čine podizanje? (Did you make the pickup?)"
"Da, načinio igrač pokupi." (Yes, I did make the pickup)
"Dobar. Hvala." (Good, thank you)

They hang up. The three ladies are here for two weeks. Business and pleasure. Looks like I was made to be the tour guide...right.
