Just finished the movie "Stoked: The Rise and Fall of Gator" What a sad fuckin' movie. Tragic.
It was nice to get some nostalgia going, though. Laughed at the Mt. Trashmore sequence...I remember reading about what happened then in Thrasher! I was 12, maybe 13 years old. Recognized a TON of names...Hawk, Caballero, Mountain of course...Hosoi, Jeff Phillips, Chris Miller, Kevin Staab, Gonz....shit, those were my heroes.
How fucked up it was to be a skate pro, though...and at so young. Kids all over the world loving you one month, dissing you the next.
A good book to read that covers that era
is Tony Hawk's "Occupation: Skateboarder."

I just finished watching "Bubba Ho-tep" and it was awesome. Bruce Campbell plays a geriatric Elvis to the "inth" degree---so good. Lotsa weird, but good.
