Here is a blog.. No rehearsal, no editing.. This is just whatever is at the forefront of my delusional brain right now, and that is all that it is..
I was supposed to start a real blog, reserved a domain and everything, it was gonna be all about gardening and whatever else I wanted to spew forth, but my days and evenings have been pre-occupied with gardening and whatever else they have been occupied with.. I prolly shoulda just blogspotted something instead of trying to be all official and figuring out how to do some bunch of shmancy stuff that I haven't figured out, but whatevs.. Time's a wastin'..
The community gardens are all awesome.. That's all I need to say about them because anything else would be bragging.. If you are actually in Chicago holler at me and I can point you to them, or maybe I can point you to a bunch of others that are maybe nearer to you, like Pullman Urban Gardens or Rainbow Beach Dunes or the Peterson Garden Project.. Anyway gardening is totally my bag and that's about all I ever have to say about anything.. And you wouldn't be able to tell by looking at my veggie bed, because it's mostly a haphazard and barely tended mess but that's only bcuz I am trying to usher a lot of other brilliant folks into doing something spectacular and whatever I have going on can always wait.. Perennials are forever..
Gluten free baking is a pain in the ass.. I am entering into this challenge on account of a solidarity contest with my sister, who is gluten intolerant.. Meanwhile I swear and moan about how pecans are no substitute for fried chicken and then I go to the corner bar and order a hamburger with a bun.. When the shit hits the fan it is not distributed evenly.. Also, there are only so many ciders out there that are completely palatable, but interestingly the Stella Artois Cidre is much more appealing after a couple other different brews and calories have been consumed.. So that is worth some investigating..
Radio is challenging.. The internet is challenging.. Community activism is challenging.. There was no preamble or outline ahead of this here post so it is just entirely stream of unconsciousness.. Get out there and find as many causes as you can devote yourself to and see where they lead.. Next year drop half of them.. Find plenty of time to wander aimlessly, water some flowers, draw trees and clouds.. Really deeply truly make the most of every moment you have, because you have a whole lot fewer of them than you are counting on.. And be nice to moms..

I'm not exactly sure if they need a dormant period, but mine seems to be doing fine without it. I've had it for about 2 years now, and it had only 3 or so mouths when I first got it. To be honest, I don't do much. I feed it whenever I catch a suitable bug, and that's about it. I really want to replant it into a bigger pot, but I just can't find all the types of soil that I'm supposed to mix together.
