Ok, time to update my journal. For real, this time.
So I am now an international traveller. Only took 25 years, but better late than never. I went with Sarah up to Toronto for the Labour Day holiday, and it was definitely a trip to remember.
I decided to rent a car, which turned out to be a red Pontiac Grand Am. Sarah thought that was hysterical, but I could play CDs and smoke in it! I was content. (It was automatic too, so we both could take turns driving).
My biggest tip for you if you're driving in Toronto is park in a cheap parking garage and walk. Finding a spot on the street is too much of a hassle and you can get anywhere you need to go by subway and on foot.
It was a great time, including finding out the nuances of the Canadians. Most are very approachable, but be careful you don't use too much sarcasm. From my experience, they'll think you're serious (unless you tell them, of course).
I'll probably end up going to the city again sometime in the future. Maybe I'll be a little more prepared next time.
Wednesday night was Goth Night, which was a nice getaway from the week, until I work up 3 hours late to work the next day... shit, shit, shit, shit, shit! Slept right through my damn alarm. Well, I ended up putting my 8 hours in by staying late, but still I hate it when that happens.
Now that it's the weekend, I find myself pondering what to do. I think I've got a rough outline of events, but you never know. I may just end up doing something completely different. As long as it's an adventure, I don't mind being sidetracked.
Have a good night kiddies, I'll write to you later.
