So the weather in the UK officially sucks - either it should be really wet and we can mentally hark back to wet play days at school and stay in watching crap TV and not feel bad about it, or it should be nice and sunny (well it is that time of year) and we can go out and about and hang with cool people drinking whiskey and ginger (which I did yesterday, albeit inside a bar).
But, no, the British weather has other plans and will rain for half an hour, be over cast for a bit, give you ten minutes of sun shine and then rain again even though half the sky is bright blue! WTF
Anyhoo, just been working on the mix tape that has no name in fact Im working on a couple of CDs (though we still call them mixtapes) but the one in question seems quite SGs in flavour. Unfortunately I cant get my laptop to record long sections of audio at the moment (some software problem) so I may have to wait until I move and get the main PC and the dex in the same room (and I hope thats about a month away).
So if you can think of a cool name please leave a comment, and if I can finish it then Ill let you have a copy.
The track listing so far is (I havent worked exactly how to bridge between the mini mixes yet and yes its all vinyl and features an effects unit at times)
(mini mix one)

Chemical Brothers Leave Home
Kasabian Processed Beats (may use a remixed version not sure yet)
Pumpkin and the Profile All-stars Here comes that beat
Mr Scruff Spandex man
(mini mix two)
Metallica Frantic (Unkle mix)
Queens of the Stone Age No one knows (Unkle mix)
(mini mix three)
Gorillaz Dare (JTs bootleg mix)

Tom Vek I Aint Saying My Goodbyes (Phones 12" Version)
Marilyn Manson The not so Beautiful people (JG Thirwell mix)

(Random tracks I like to feature but dont know exactly where yet)
Led Zepplin The Ocean or maybe Moby Dick
A track or two from the Go Teams LP
The Doors Light my Fire
L7 Shit List
Lard Forkboy

Something by Extreme Noise Terror
So if after reading all that (by the way its also my way of noting where I am at the moment with the mix so I dont forget anything if I loose paperwork in the move) you may have an idea of the kind thing Im aiming to get across with the mix, so dont forget leave me some suggestions (silly or otherwise) and I may stick your suggestion on the CDs.
Cheers me Dears,
M.
