So I found someone to go to the show last night!! Yay!!!
I had a really good time, despite the fact that on the way home I got lost and nearly had a heart attack. I didnt get too too lost, I took the Betsy Ross instead of the Ben Franklin..ended up having to take the turnpike home and go all sorts of out of the way-ness to get back. But, I made it in one piece and thats all that matters right? Im such a spaz when it comes to driving around places that I dont know.
So...the show...very good. They played with some weird band that I dont know the name of that beats on garbage or something and sound like a crappy version of Duran Duran. (If you know who thwy are, and like them, sorry.)
They also played with Tubring, which is a pretty kick ass band from Chicago that you should check out just for the hell of it. The first time I saw them I wasnt too into it, but the second time around they sucked me in.
And as for MSI....well....Jimmy has no more pink hair but he looked great anyway. In case anyone is wondering what his jacket said, it said "School in Stay". For anyone that doesnt know, Jimmy Urine, the lead singer, has a tendency to wear these suit jackets that have interesting sayings on them. Hmm ahh as for crazy antics, someone in the crowd had a "pleasure toy" and Jimmy seemed to be having some fun playing with it. At the end of the set, Jimmy was down to his undies and wearing a high school marching band conductor hat and jacket, marching around with a boom box and demanding that people give him their money. So, naturally, everyone started throwing change and dollar bills and whatnot. It was quite entertaining, although not nearly as entertaining as when Steve climbed up the balcony the last time I saw them at the Troc and he attempted to dive into the crowd and no one caught him. Poor Steve.
Some of the songs played last night: "Thank God" "Wack" "Molly" "Diabolical" "Pussy All Night" "Bitches" "Harry Truman" "Clarissa" "Backmask" "Golden, I" "Keepin Up with the Kids" "Tight" and the ever popular "Bring the Pain". I know there were more but I cant really remember.
AHH... work soon, and of course today was the one day I would have slept wonderfully. Isnt that always the way? BLARGH.
Until next time kiddies...
