My DSL package arrived today...Woo hoo! It might take a while for the novelty to wear off, since I'm used to painfully slow dial-up. Once again, woo hoo!
Three good things happened over the past few days:
1. I spent the weekend in San Diego with my sweetie. We went to the zoo, walked by the ocean, and hung out with good friends. All in all, it was a nice weekend getaway.
2. I had my annual review at work on Friday: I got a raise! Woo hoo! (On a side note, Friday... Read More
Yes creativity is a great thing. But I'm always creative, even in my dayjob
Then again I have a 2nd fun job: user interface design of a computer game. It was on just after the screenwriting session, I changed *everything*. We are in a phase there, where one does not change anything at all. Well it took me a day ... at first everyone was sceptical, then my friend came to me like every hour and thanked me for it
I guess writing/creativity can't be shut down anymore
I love San Diego, been to the zoo twice, walked by the ocean and played frisbee at coronado during sunset (I'm a nocturnal creature: You won't get me to a beach when the sun is out )
I remember the black jaguar from the zoo. If you looked at him in sunlight you could see the typical jaguar pattern, in the shadows he's just black. I loved it.
Congrats to your raise !!!!
13 is always a lucky number. I would sit on a plane in row 13 and I would stay on the 13th floor *and* feel very good doing that
So it's been a little frustrating not having internet access at home right now. I just got hooked on the site and I've had to wait for the weekend so I could use Toxicboy's computer. Good news, though- I signed up for DSL & it'll be ready...in February.
Enough complaining (for one blog, anyway). It's been a good week. I'm feeling much better (not sick... Read More
Yeah!!! The screenplay will be a feature length comedy, slightly autobiographic (my friends life) but way more crazy and neurotic I'm in it too, but my character has like 20% of me like the mean, dominat and cynic part
Well we have a *lot* of scenes from all 3 acts. We don't write linear. We have most story-lines, nearly everything about the main characters. And accidentally the first 30 minutes. Well - and ideas for some possible endings too... and the pace. How the plots are timed, may be interleaved and detected possible sequences. Well I'm a visual type, I can even see the storyboard for most of the scenes ...
(This wasn't all done this week though...)
You should try again sometime or finish the first one !!!!
Disneyland was great. It rained, as I hoped it would, and it was as fun as I thought it would be. Yay!
I'm really exited today because I bought Avid Xpress Pro on ebay for about half the retail price! Now I can edit at home (I've been editing at work on weekends and after hours.) I'll still be able to digitize & output my... Read More
Well, it's New Year's Day, I'm new to the site and I'm writing my first journal entry. Happy 2006! ToxicPirate and I stayed in and watched the ball drop last night (we're both sick!), but there will be festivities-a-plenty today. We're meeting some friends for shabu-shabu (tasty asian food) and goin' to Disneyland! (I hope it rains...call me crazy, but I think it'd be kind... Read More
