Hello Dirty Birdies!
I hope life is treating you very well and you are happy
. I am overall happy, besides the bumps in the road everyday I'm thankful to have a roof over my head, clothes on my back, and a man who loves me more than words can say. I would say overall there is no room for complaints.
Summer has begun, the club is filled with patrons at night and life is again a never ending party. This marks my 6th summer of dancing and my first at Sassy's. I started at Sassy's last year at the end of August so I missed most of the summer there. For us dancers though the summer is the busy season. Nights in the summer remind me of why I do love my job.
I honestly thought I would have been done dancing by now. When I started dancing 5 years ago I did not have a damn care about anything. It is amazing how much I have discovered and learned about myself in these many years. It has helped shaped my character. At times I love dancing and at times I want to chuck my heel at that one douche bags face but when it comes down to it dancing has been good to me. Dancing is the reason why I have such a happy and wonderful life. I will never stop being thankful for that. I have met the most incredible people including Shaun.
Now that I have aches and pains everyday though I have realized, it is time for the next step of the great life adventure. For years I have been indecisive about the "next step". I have many interests but no patience or ambition to pursue it. I am a constant GO GO GO person. I have only wanted to do my own thing, that's why dancing is perfect for me. You work essentially whenever you want, take time off whenever, and have a good time doing your job. Its ideal for now but stripping doesn't last forever. I know that everyday when I feel my joint pain and my bones crack. So what next?
I busted out my old Sony and did a photo shoot of Venus the other day. She let me shoot with her Canon Rebel T3i and I felt a feeling I hadn't felt in a long time... Excitement. I was actually excited about taking pictures and just like that my mind was going a mile a minute with creative ideas.
Until now though it's always been a hobby. I know it's hard to make a career out of photography. It's an extremely competitive market, but why not throw my hat into the ring? I feel inspired by all of my wonderful talented friends but mostly I aspire to be like Sunshine. I look up to her so much and strive to a photographer good as her someday. It's not just the photos she takes but the experience you have when shooting with her. She makes you feel so beautiful, comfortable, and confident.
So I made a big purchase yesterday, I bought the Canon T3i and lenses! I absolutely love photography it has been a hobby of mine to take photos of people, places, and things. I think it may be the next step. If not well at least I tried something outside my comfort zone. I am blessed that I have so many wonderful supportive people in my life. MetalMohawk, My family, and my friends. Plus so many beautiful talented model/photographer friends who are willing to help me out with my future endeavors!
What am I wanting to shoot? Who knows for now I'll be working on building my portfolio and a project for the summer. Possibly shoot for Zivity and work on shooting pinups... If I ever become a great photographer maybe shoot for SG (we aren't even close to that yet though). But practice makes perfect right?!

...Okay enough babble so what's going on in other news.
-Waffles has been sick
, she ate something that gave her some tummy issues (I think it was gum). She had bloodwork and xrays at the vet and they said there was nothing seriously wrong with her. Thank you all for your kind words and messages though.
- Saving up for upcoming trips (Hell City & Vegas)
- Fleetwood Mac on June 30th! OMG SO STOKED FOR THIS!
- Sawa should be editing my next SG set very soon!

You are right, it is an extremely competitive market, but all markets are competitive and if it is your passion and if you shoot what YOU want and what inspires YOU and how YOU want to shoot it and don't worry about what everyone else is doing, you will find your niche and a space to shine! .
There are SO many girls in the world too shoot.... There's plenty to go around for everyone
