So in a moment of excess, I got these from CompUSA's going under sale.
A sturdy $130, dropped down to about $110. Not a bad deal, if I didn't already have 3 other pair of headphones. Or so I thought before I tried them out.
These things were a bitch to hook up. I would have been lost without the adapter I got from my logitech setup that converts the Green/Black/Orange 5.1 channel pc audio into Red/White analog audio. Once the audio was connected, this beast required a USB power source to drive the four speakers and sub in each cup. My only option was to connect the audio to my analog system selector and plug the USB cable into the back of my XBOX 360. The result? Eargasm. FULLY.
In other news, I see why the suicide rate in Seattle is so high. It's not so much that the rain is depressing, it's hearing people bitch about it constantly. The only thing that bothers me about the rain itself is that I can't really shoot. I haven't gotten my D70s weatherproofed yet, and my C3 is currently loaded with the Velvia 50 I mentioned in my last blog, which pretty much requires you to be somewhere in the Sahara to get a decent exposure from what i'm told. Also, being that the C3 is an old camera, i'm not quite sure it's moisture-proof, and i'd hate to get condensation on the glass.
Ok thats enough nerd talk. Off to play more Halo3 with my new headphones, in all their head-hugging surround-sounding bass driving bliss.
