So I got laid off. It was so unexpected. I went to work one day, then I had a day off, and then my place of employment wasn't there anymore. Crazy because I had worked for that bitch of a woman I called my boss for four years and I had practically run the store, did all the ordering of product, etc..she never even had...

What is it about spring that seems to make everything go a little bit crazy? It feels as though every moment is some kind of new adventure, as if every night I go out I never quite know what might happen. I've been spending the last couple of weeks going to shows, writing poetry, working my ass off in school, but having a whole lot...

I really would like to check out that Murphy's Law and Reverand Horton Heat show, but money wise, I'm holding out for the Sounds of the Underground Tour coming to Tulsa in July. I just saw Throwdown in KC, and you're right, the shows there start early. I kinda like that though, because I get home a little earlier after driving all that way back. I love going to shows in Lawrence, that town is just awesome. Anyways, I hope you make it up there Wednesday, too bad I gotta work. Damn the man!!!

Charlie Parker was always too smacked out and late for gigs to handle the administration part of bein' a band leader, so Miles Davis had to step and fulfill said duties. That's why he was such a good band leader when he struck out on his own. You should go visit Parker's grave here in Kansas City, it's pretty cool (a whole lot better than goin' t'see that fuckin' ugly copper bust of him on Eighteenth and Vine). I was late gettin' to the S.D. show as well. I didn't think it would start that early either. You really should go to the Rev. on Wednesday (I wish I could, but somebody has to win the bread around here) and make sure you get there for the Supersuckers, they are really good.

"It's a beautiful day to be happy."- A guy I know has a poster on his wall that says this, it has a smiling hopping bunny on it..and it's so out of place amongst all his posters of bands and movies and strange random things but it always seems fitting and whenever I'm happy, and sometimes when I'm not happy I think of this and...

I'm pretty embarrased about the whole thing. Like I said, guilty pleasure. I'm not gonna run out and buy the record, it just caught my ear.
I'm not sure how my Aunt hooked up with that lady, but they're both fine. I guess my Aunt's kidney is working like a charm in its new home and the now lone one in my Aunt is pickin' up the slack with no problems. I was rather impressed with her.
How's the work sit'ation?
