Happy day to everyone!
Yesterday I went and saw "Everything is Illuminated" at the Moxie. I fell in love with it, I was worried about seeing it because I have read the book and enjoyed it and I was afraid the movie would ruin it, but the movie really stands on its own. It is "very premium, yes." Afterwards I just drove around listening to music and feeling extremely happy, I couldn't stop thinking about it all day.
I have not updated in forever because I have been sooo busy, this semester will be over in a few weeks and I can't wait. Two weeks ago I went and saw Sick of it All in St. Louis, it was quite possibly the best show I have ever been to, I was really sick, but I had a good time anyway...before the show Lou was just walking around talking to people in the bar about housing projects in NYC and stuff like that, which is just one of the reasons why I love Hardcore. The energy they had on stage was incredible, I sang and screamed through the whole thing, and even cried a little bit on a few songs, but for good reasons.
I have this thing, whenever I go to Rag-O-Rama in St. Louis I always end up finding a really cool pair of shoes, and usually shoes that I have been wanting. To date I have found blue doc marten boots, pumas, creepers and now a pair of white low top converse that were brand new for 6 bucks, I was excited! They look so weird on my floor though, as if they should be much bigger and next to a crumpled pile of baby blue t-shirt and black work pants, oh those were the days, ha.
Random:
Lately, I have been eating Ritz crackers, it makes me feel like a kid again.
I miss one of my favorite dogs in the world.
I am going to go to Austin over Christmas Break.
I don't have to work "the day after Thanksgiving" at the mall for the first time in 5 years, I cannot explain to you how joyous this makes me. In fact this will be the first Christmas in so many years that won't be ruined for me because of working in retail. Everyone will be getting X-mas cards this year, and I'll even be happy to do it.
I am off to eat pie, wee!
