an update on my sweet house, and my sweet...um sweatpants?
i suppose this thing's due for an update.
ugh, my...everything hurts. i can't remember the last time i've done this much physical labor. but on the other hand, i can't remember the last time i've had a feeling of such utter accomplishment.
see, i got me this brand spanking new house...okay, well the house isn't new...in fact it's quite old, but it's new to me and that's all that matters. the thing is, since it's all run down and broken and stuff, i've been fixing it up, and painting it, patching holes, etc. etc. etc. we're in the final stages now and as of april 1st, i will be officially living in a 3 story/ 8 bedroom house with 4 of my closest friends. the lease has been signed, the holes have been patched, and the rooms have been painted (mine's BRIGHT green, YES!!) and all that's left is some new carpet and a few finishing touches.....then it's all ours!! there will be a house warming party, rest assured, and all are invited. it'll be crazy-go-nuts fun!
but until the house is finished it will be go to work, work on house, go to home depot, go to mom's apt and pack, sleep for like an hour, repeat...or at least that seems to have been the trend for the past couple of days. it's exhausting, but well worth it, and it just makes the house seem like it's really "ours."
in other non-house related news, i got a new cellphone. this is like the first new cellphone i've had in years, YEARS! all you people with your fancy phones, with the doo-dads, and the what-nots, i am envious of you NO MORE! it's one o' them sweet razor phones, and it's sweet! i don't know why that's exciting, it's just a phone, but it is.
i also bought some new sweat pants, but that's not really worth talking about, i just thought i'd mention it.
it's just been new new new for me, change change change...and i embrace it. in fact...there is one more big change in my life, however, i don't quite feel i'm ready to post this new change all over the internet for any jerk to read about. (your curiosity is gettin' to ya, isn't it?)
so i think i will sleep now, i have about 5 hours before i have to get up tommorrow...and it's gonna be another day of working and painting. for now, you can look at these pictures if you're bored.

PS since we're all dorks apparently, we decided that our house is named "The Deathstar" and should you ever find yourself talking about it, you will refer to it as such!
