Sooooo... We've been in New York for like a month now and it's going ok... The search for a job isn't going so great. I applied at Michael's and thought it looked promising but it's only for an instructor position, that's not enough money!
On a good note, my mom came in to the city and I stayed with her last weekend, too much fun! I had cheesecake for the first time ever and it was YUUUUUMMMMM!!! I feel like I could live on it. I tried new things at the Japanese food restaurant, pan fried dumplings with pork and diced vegies in it dipped in soy sauce and these little peas that you eat like peanuts... It was great. We went down to Central Park and watched some people dance on roller blades. OMG, there was a guy dressed as a clown in a salsa dress with balloons for boobs with the knots turned around so it looked like hard nipples! And he had another two on his butt so it looked like he had a big ass and was wearing little white girlie shoes! It was too funny! My little sister was a riot as always, throwing a fit one minute and all cute the next... She was fine and happy about getting a sticker when we went to the Holocaust museum but then half way thru, she started fussing and getting loud while other people were walking by! It's kind of embarassing, not something I'm looking forward to when my son gets older... I could very happily skip the fits if I were allowed... I can make my husband deal with him, can't I?
Oh! Even better news, it feels like my septum is healed... Well, not healed, but it's not bothering me anymore, there's almost no crusties anymore and it can turn and not make me want to break down crying from intense pain! I'm still hoping to get my nipples repierced... I made the mistake of asking about how expensive New York is to get piercings done and apperently there are piercing snobs about, lol... Paying "high dollar" for needles to be stuck in them, good luck with that. I suppose I got lucky in Florida with a guy who said he's done so many nipple piercings over the year and he's got two other successful businesses that he doesn't charge $80 for piercings... Whatever the reason, I got them done perfectly fine, perfectly sanitary and sterile for $35 and I'll do it again because I'm not paying twice as much for the same thing, that's stupid.
