Hey guys!
I've decided to touch up on some blog homework and this one topic spoke to me. I knew exactly what experience I'd talk about.
Back in October I saw Glass Animals play in NYC and it totally changed my life. Maybe it had something to do with the people I was with. Maybe it had something to do with the drugs. But it definitely had everything to do with the music and the band themselves.
First off, I want to talk about their light show. Whoever is their tech guy for that stuff is amazing. I can't talk about it enough when a band can put on an amazing performance and then have a spectacular light show as well that it just makes it a true experience.
I've read a couple interviews with the band and I know they created their entire set up and stage. Which is also phenomenal and makes it that much more intimate if you know about it. The music and the stage are their babies. It's what they put their heart and souls into and visually seeing it, hearing it, and physically feeling the music was such an intimate connection. I actually get a little sad when I hear their music now because I miss that night and want to go back to it all the time.
One more thing I want to talk about is when Dave Bayley hopped into the crowd and began singing Love Lockdown by Kanye directly in front of me. I literally just held onto his arm so he couldn't go too far while everyone else tried to selfie with him.
I seriously love this band and highly recommend seeing them live if you have the chance. They are genuine artists that you can tell just truly enjoy what they do and playing music for you.
