DAUGHTERS OF BASTET - 5th easy piece
The kitty-like seductress walked her way throughout the place, her tail strictly vertical, pausing, first in front of the phone table, then of the desk. Each time she waved a front paw towards the place the small thingie was hidden, giving me an interrogative look. I wasn't sure how to answer to this gaze, until she paused again, this time in front of the main window's curtain. I checked the curtain, fold after fold. The small black device was so well hidden I hadn't found it already (the mic hidden under the desk was the first I had found, then the one in the phone). Passing from the bathroom to the bedroom, then to the kitchen, she paused to the four I had already found, plus three i hadn't. Each time I nodded, it seemed to relieve her. Probably had she had some doubts about my intelligence. Then she halted in front of the fridge. Again, I was puzzled. A fridge is an unlikely place for hiding a microphone.
I opened it up, still in wonder. She gave an eloquent look to the whole milk bottle. I nodded very skeptically this time; it was highly improbable Joss had left anything in it when she had went visiting last time. I shaked the bottle. Half full. I was impressed. If I've had not been convinced yet this kitten was very special, I would have been now.
While pouring the milk in a plate, I gave a look to my watch. Ten minutes left before it would be Mr Green's hour .
