Saw Cronenberg's Spider... found it way more disturbing than "Element of Crime" or "Mulholland Drive". Or any Cronenberg movie so far. It made me think about the way mental disorders (generally speaking) are portrayed in movies. Not even speaking of the "fishing for Awards" Hollywood school of psycho movies; artist's fascination for madness is so great even in the movies produced outside this system, madness is "glamourized" in some way (anybody saw Lars von Trier's TV series "Kingdom"?). Spider almost succeeds in avoiding that. Almost.

-so I should make a movie where the crazy guy is just a terrible blastard lunatic and everyone hates him? even when you do thatpeopel become darkly fascinated by him, there's no way out of this trap.
