Fire
So i walked down to the corner store today, I was out of coffee and cream. I looked to the sky and a large puff of black smoke billow from the west.
I hear the fire engines rush towards the dark cloud. 3 of them ripped by me screaming, just as a young man walked past me giving me the head nod. Seems to be customary between people who move on foot.
People from all around where pointing at the skies today. People standing on there front lawn with their neighbours looking at the sky for an answer.
I went into the store and grabbed my over priced coffee. I thought to myself as i walked to the counter..."Shit, doesnt this dude ever go home."
He placed the coffee into a small bag.
"Have a good day" seems so cliche.
I began my journey back. More and more people started to leave the secuity of there homes and turn to the streets to watch the black cloud grow bigger.
I took a detour from my home, and walked towards the highest hills in my town. The steep incline made my legs burn, and the hot sun turn my brow to sweat.
The grass was thick at the top of the hill, and I made my seat there. Facing the west i had the best veiw. But i saw much more that what i had expected. I saw the world, scurried, rushed and burned. Yellow and black smoke covered over the sun.
After some time, the sun reappear and it hugged me. I saw white clouds, sweet green grass and the big blue lake. It never seemed so clear.
People hugged and felt love, the fire was over.
An even though i was alone on that hill, I never felt like I was.

Thats a very descriptive piece of writing. Ever give consideration to a novel?
