Get this: As I did my nightly "security walk" about the apartment, locking doors and such, I came across two rather large mushrooms growing out of the wall just below the crown molding (no puns please). There were rather disgusting looking but I was drunk and tired and decided to go to bed.

This AM they looked decidedly dead, so I tore them out of the wall and cleaned up the small pile of sticky brown spore-death juice that had accumulated below them.

What I want to know is: Is my whole household (me, the g/f, and two cats) going to die?

I still love everything.
