SYTYCD SEASON 8 Week 2
Well, they pulled a fast one on us last week and kept everyone, leading to a heart-rending "20 dancers enter, 16 dancers leave" decision for this week. And who's along for the ride as our celebrity judge for this momentous occasion? Why, Debbie Reynolds, of course. Off we go.
Melanie Moore
OMG you guys, I'm not sure if you know this but Melanie is so damn adorable! Okay, now that that's out of my system...
She's also sexy too! Oh, right, the dancing. She and Marko should be more than fine, because they can do anything. They have that effortless air to them that all the greats do. I just hope people don't pass them over in the voting because "they'll be fine."
Jordan Casanova
As the wife shouted out when this number began: "She's made of magic!"
I don't really have anything snarky or pervy to say about this. It was just really, really good. Both her and Tadd just brought it and they brought it hard. When Debbie Reynolds compares you to the people she used to dance with, you did good.
Sasha Mallory
Ooh, this sounds like a good dance for them, especially because girl can dance AND emote. Let's watch...
Oh hell yes. They did that so beautifully. Tears indeed and one of the first times I feel I've really really SEEN Tab & Nap up there in their work. And great work, Sasha; great work, Alexander.
Caitlynn Lawson
Can cute little Caitlynn pull off emotional complexity?
Well, I got some chills there, so I'm going to say yes (some of that might be Adele's voice's fault though). And she took that unintentional punch like a champ! Plus, we finally get to see Mitchell (can you say Chris Tucker?) partner with her! And he brought it, for sure.
Ryan Ramirez
Can you say sexytimez?
So she looked a lot like Blake Lively, was falling out of her clothes, and made a gay man look like he wanted to screw her. Well done. Even Debbie Reynolds was blushing and she's seen everything. I barely noticed Ricky (Roderick) due to teh hotness.
Missy Morelli
Aw, poor girl has to be hot and spicy. Should be a real stretch for her.
She basically ate Wadi alive on this one. If you can't really dance it, just throw the sexy girl out front and hope no one notices. Hope he's okay. Missy should be fine (HA!).
Clarice Ordaz
Don't drop the princess.
What a simple, lovely, lyrical little piece. They somehow paired well, given Jesse's odd smallness. I actually enjoyed this piece more than I thought I would. Even got a little bit of a chill during their synchronized part.
Miranda Maleski
Don't let me, Nap, and Tabs down, curly-haired dancer.
She stuck it pretty hard, but missed out on actually connecting with the piece. Robert actually was looser than I thought he would be, but he still made it work. It was technically proficient, but needed some heart.
Ashley Rich
For some reason, this cute little gifted dancer just doesn't do it for me.
And there is sadly no chemistry between her and Chris. Still, they did execute Spencer's very risky "through-the-bars" number very well. Just without any real connection.
Iveta Lukosiute
She still scares me.
This is like a start of a joke: A ballroom dancer and a tapper walk into a Bollywood flick. Do we get the cheesy special effects while they dance too? Nick actually outshone the ballroom champ in this one. I was kinda shocked it wasn't terrible. Still, ouchies.
Reactions to the brutal cuts next week. Toodles!

I figure with their moves this year, a few people might actually care a little bit.
