So like you all know, I'm staying at my parents house this month. It really isn't all that bad, just tedious. This morning my father wanted to talk to me but I was on the telephone with an insurance company. I guess he never really got it through his head that I'm an adult, and that many of the things I do on a daily basis are important. So, while I'm on the phone he is trying to talk to me, I stop my phone conversation for a minute to tell him that I can't talk, and then he ran off in a huff. He later said that he didn't like being brushed off so I could chat with friends. I just laughed.
Yesterday I had to work - this is not the bad part - and neither one of my bosses showed up. So since neither one showed up, Sammy, who runs the caf, had to run the restaurant as well. Sammy is, well, a fucking idiot. When I asked him for ice (because the ice machine was broken) he said "Everyone is asking me for everything but my blood!" I asked him to elaborate on this and he said that everyone was asking him to do stuff. I said, because I'm an asshole, "You're managing today, people are asking you to do stuff because you're in charge. If I went out and bought ice without asking you, you would have gotten mad at me." And then I walked away. I don't think he took that very well. To add to this, my register was broken. My register is the only register with money in it, so we had no access to money and had to go through this very anal recording method.
I'm not entirely sure I want to re-live yesterday in this journal entry. So I'll leave it at - I hate working for other people, I want to gut Sammy, and I really like Richard the old gay guy who comes in every day for well-gin martinis.

being in charge can't be all bad, or can it.

yes, bosses are idiots. lets punch them in the face. if i run into a huge bag of gold i'll open a bar and you can work there. i'll try and not be an idiot, but as you well know, that is impossible for me.
