is all good, I was pretty damn tired yesterday anyway and ended up with no energy. that's the problem really with working all day--not that I get out so late, but that I end up wrecked at the end of it.

aoife:

Could this be true?

I would need to check, "See a Pixies show" off my "Things to do before I die, but can't, cause I missed the boat"

dude, where is a good skate shop in denver, i need to get a board and skate at that park near the stadium.... so where is this place your friend spins exactly?
tonystheme:
Old bands getting back together are a hit and miss for me. The Buzzcocks sucked. I'll probably never go see the Sex Pistols. I opted out seeing Iron Maiden for free.

If they have something new to say, it's usually good. If they're just capitalizing themselves - screw em.

Seeing the Pixies would put me in a separate dimension. I bought a guitar and started to play it because I kept obsessing over their records. Rumor has it that it was Bowie that urged them to get together. If they put out a new record, I'll get it on LP, CD and sleep with it like a teddy bear. The tour is supposed to start in April, as is my brithday. So, it's roadtrip time if that's the case. I've seen the Breeders twice it would have been 3x, but my car *blew up* en route to a show last Feb. in Las Vegas. Frank Black never tours here, since he has a stalker. His record label is in Boulder too - slightly ridiculous. l.

Genet is hot stuff. I've also read Our Lady of the Flowers. Anyone who gets pardoned for a life sentence in prison because of his artistic merits will win me over. I'm an exhistentialist if anything.

As for skate shops, there's a Brother's Boards on Evans and about University - that's where I got my current board - an 8 1/4" Consolidated with a graphic of a happy rainbow ending in a puffy white cloud.

There's Thrifty Stick which I think is somewhere on Broadway and TS2 which is in Aurora on Evans, near the Aurora skatepark.

There's also a shop on Colfax that I've never been on and Emageskate between 15th and 20th near Platte. They usually have good deals on shoes and that's where the rest of my current setup is from. I've previously have gone to Boulder to get my gear. There's a skateshop on the Hill right on Broadway that treats you right. They have an amazing skatepark in Boulder as well.

All moved in to the beatnik crashpad on Capital Hill.

Haven't had much time to play, since school finals have just ended. Party tonight 3 blocks away, can't wait to walk home drunk.

Found out Holly Golightly is going to be playing the Larimer Lounge in October. Can't quite wait for that.

aoife:
Everyone who wants to talk about Capitol Hill being scary should be forced to live in New Orleans for a month.

Wimps.

Mr Pacman is the coolest guy to ever wear a Ninetendo Powerglove. Thanks to everyone at 60 South for the fashion show. I got asked to a sex-themed Scrabble party. Life could get a bit more random.

Valentine, is that you that I keep seeing around? Let's see: at the opening at the Wheelbarrow, at the art opening on Colfax/Marion, at the fashion show yesterday...

I can't remember who said this one, but I saw it recently:

"Some people walk in the rain, others just get wet."

One of my favorite American haikus is,

"The bottom of my shoes
are clean
from walking in the rain"

I decided to do away with caffeine for a while. I'm on day #3 of total cold turkey and the headaches keep coming on like little tidal waves.

I painted this one day

MIne was the triptich near the entrance with all the different colored lines. There's a pedestal to the left with some drawings of the same nature and some wallet sized CD ROMs with this:

animation on them.
