This is becoming a more frequent blog now as I find myself with more time on my hands currently. So a quick guide through a few sets which have caught my attention this week.
First up this time is @espucca with Tealicious shot by @drew I've noticed a few sets from dutch hopefuls coming through lately, and this is Espucca's debut set on SG. It...

So lock down has me looking for photography ideas to do in the house (or garden).
As a photographer I'm happy enough photographing other people's portraits, but I actually find it very hard to do self portraits or even just selfies with my phone. I'm way too critical of the finished result, and rarely happy with the outcome.
It's not that I don't accept how...

Practice manual focus on teeny tiny subjects with a 70-200 lens, whilst enjoying the sunshine.
These little dudes are very hard to capture accurate focus on.
But I did it. Chuffed.
Also, heavily cropped images otherwise a small dot in the middle of the frame.

Well not right at this moment in the UK, after all it's not only daytime, but it's also pouring with rain as I write this. But over the last few weeks, something that has really struck me is the night sky.
Light pollution is always a problem in city life, but I'm absolutely sure that it has been much clearer lately, and I'm seeing a...

Hey everybody and thanks for taking the time to come and allow me to introduce these recent brilliant hopeful sets. Lock down is still keeping me wishing I could get out and shoot, but whilst I can't do that, I have been able to check more sets out than I usually do, and have noticed that there has been some really excellent sets coming through...

Thank you so much to the lovely @brightmeadow22 for the nomination for a questionnaire during quarantine.
Here are the questions and answers:
1. What food do you crave most often?

2.Can you swim?
Yes I can, but despite living by the sea, I haven't for many years, so if I do get in the pool again, I'll probably sink!
3. Can you whistle?...

As a photographer here in the UK it's frustrating that I can't get out to shoot anything right now, and especially as I had a few hopeful sets lined up to shoot this month, so a bit bummed I can't do these. But the UK, like a lot of the world correctly right now, is currently locked down, so these sets have had to be...

It's been just over a month since I wrote my first short blog showcasing a few of the hopefuls and their sets which have recently come out on the site. So now we're all in lock down here in the UK, and I'm not shooting right now, it seems a good time to write my second, and highlight a few of the sets which have...

Hi everyone in SG land.
So I've been a bit absent on here just recently, and in social media generally (I think I've needed a break!), so whilst away, I decided it might be nice to highlight some of the recent Hopeful sets which have caught my eye now I'm back on. I've seen a few other members do something similar and having been on...

Here's something a little different from me. Working through this set of pictures still, but something shot recently with Gabby and Sara. Let me know what you think. And if you'd like to shoot with me (southern UK based) then please do get in touch.
Very pleased with this shot. Still a lot to learn about shooting the milky way, but this is my best effort so far... One shot, taken on IoW. Room for improvement in the foreground for sure...
