"I shaved my legs for you"
anyone who watched Grey's anatomy knows this line, its where Izzy has a date with one of the Drs, and she gets all dressed up looking beautiful, and if I remember correctly he didn't give her a kiss. I could be wrong, maybe he stood her up...either way...she was hurt and when they finally fought her response to his insensitivity was "I shaved my legs for you"
so why am I talking about this???
because of Takesatraintocry's blog, he mentions women who dont' shave their armpits.
I personally shave my pits and bikini area all the time. I liek to keep my "cookie" nicely groomed.yadda yadda yadda. but my legs are a whole other story. I had baby fine blonde hairs till I was about 19, at that point I bleached them for about a year, then I began waxing them. I've been waxing my legs about once a month since I was 20. (I'm almost 34 so thats quite some time) I've only had 1 guy ever make a comment about it...and he was soon shown the door...lol. anyways, my leg hairs aren't out of control or anything.
so every once in a while I wax them for more of a "special occasion" and it seems like every time I go through this ritual I end up disappointed. its happened several times over the years and now that I'm dating I notice it more and more.
I can't speak for all women but for me when I take the time to wax (shave) put body lotion on, fix my hair, my make up, put something feminine and pretty on...and its almost like it goes unnoticed or something. I've been stood up, or brushed aside or treated like the wall paper.
I just want to scream it out just like Izzy did on tv:
"I WAXED MY LEGS FOR YOU!!!!"

excuses, excuses... OK, so you have a very good excuse. But if you ever feel the need for some great folk music, let me know and I'll send you some. (I'm like a crack dealer, except instead of crack I deal in finger picking guitar and outmoded vocal stylings.)

Where are those mock tudor buildings in the background? I love getting beer like that, btw. And: hot boobs! I can't believe I didn't comment on that before. I'm getting boring in my old age...
