Reassessing life goals:
for the longest time i've wanted a dog [ok i really want a familiar of sorts, an animal that's my shadow and companion], but my living situation hasn't really been optimal for one. i don't want to put an animal in a bad situation...but i'm starting to get to that point where i think i might alter my situation to MAKE it optimal!
since my bike got stolen, i decided i'm going to get my motorcycle license and get my vepa repaired. maybe i'll upgrade to something faster eventually like a p series, a lambretta or hell even an old motorcycle.
...lots of people say things to me like "smo you travel too much to have a dog" or "that's a big commitment!" but hey how many people out there have tattoos? that's commitment for life right? i don't have any...in part for that reason, but i think for the sake of a familiar/dog friend i could totally handle it. plus a dog's not a burden! it's a charge, yes, but i definitely am more well rounded when i have a sidekick.
and possible solution to my adventure naysayers?
SIDECAR!!!
once i have my motorcycle license i'm going to be on the fast track to doggie sidecar land! then i can totally travel again with my familiar! i will have to move close to a park or leave the city but i'm ok with either if i can make this all happen!
even mad max could pull it off. My ex had an australian cattle dog/blue heeler. I really love that breed, even though that experience left me with a bad taste in my mouth for a bit. I think it's the perfect choice for me [and not just because of the mad max association, these pictures and the sidecar one above are just added reference to how awesome that kind of dog is!], I just have to keep super active, which shouldn't be a problem!
my scooter's in the shop right now. let's see how far i can take this!!!
