Attraction for me is a strange subject. I'm pansexual and have been with people of all different ages, genders, races and sexualities. My attraction when I was young was very much based on aesthetics and how 'hot' someone was, and their personality was very much secondary, if even a factor at all. I think I was obsessed with being with someone so beautiful and exquisite that I could put them on a pedestal and idolise them.
As I grew older my preferences changed drastically, I explored my sexuality and something within me clicked. Now my attraction is SOLEY based off of vibe and connection with that person, which I never thought I'd say! I can meet someone I find beautiful but get to know them and find them so ugly, but I have never met someone and got to know their personalities and THEN found them unattractive.
My main things I look for within someone I'm dating or even just being friends with are humour, loyalty, kindness and the ability to make me feel comfortable. I'm extremely open within my relationships and I need to have someone that is also willing to be that open with me too. Being able to laugh with someone is also a main staple. I am one of those girls that you can 'laugh into bed'.
Respecting my decisions, my life and my goals is another big factor. I will never change for anyone, whether that be my personality or my job and if someone can support me I find that a major plus when getting to know someone.
For me, in the end, I think the one major thing that can make me instantly attracted to someone is the way they view the world and themselves; their outlook on life and everything in it, how they deal with situations. If they are a positive force I will instantly be drawn to that and find it like a glowing source of light!
How about you guys, what makes you attracted to someone?!
