the more i check out SG, the more my interest in ink culture expands. so much about it is interesting! yet, while the good jumps right out or pulls us gently in and needs little in the way of explanation--appreciation happens automatically-- what of the downside??
have heavily inked friend who claims she never would have gotten a single tat if had not fallen bad into heavy drugs. what about that? anyone have a blog on this topic? would love to read it. many profiles after all claim big drug interest. think this site should be all over the darker side of drug/tat connection--in a cool and real way (God knows drugs have no doubt made possible some superb ink choices that have improved lives).
another topic of interest: how do you grow with your tatoos? have older friend who was in on earliest days of punk scene. now she is a serious businesswoman. her attitude about her decades old ink is so cool and reassuring. any blogs about this topic? also, is SG set up to growing older along with its inky legions?? (i sense that for the most part, it is not.)

Your blog is pretty interesting. I don't think that there is a strong correlation between drugs and ink. There are many straight-edge people with lots of tattoos. I do agree with your point about SG probably being set up to grow with the humans that will inevitably grow. SG is somewhat conservative in that way.
