Ever feel like you have written a book on something you really don't care about? Did it make you feel like you were wasting your talent? Your life? I have written a procedure manual for our customer service department at my company, and now I am in the process of writing (and re-writing) procedures for our new ordering system. People will read them, follow them, even find them helpful. Is it horrible that it makes me sad that nobody will really enjoy reading them? Much less care about all the work that went into writing them. If I were to write a novel, a children's book, a song, a television series, etc...people would enjoy that.
I have ideas swirling around in my head. A jumbled mess, really. Sit-com's, kids books, stories...you name it. I also figured out a short time ago that I probably should have pursued music production in college instead of jumping around back and forth between majors. They say do what you know and love...I just feel like if I had done that, then I'd be in a better place to do the other things. I dunno...deep thoughts, right? Lol

Don't feel bad about it, though. I'm sure that there are at least some people who'll truly appreciate the work you had with that manual, people who will read it and think "Hey, this person really put a lot of thought and effort into this and it's excellent".
