Update coming to you from Kaiser Santa Rosa at 4 am.
Spencer Lee McMellon was born very early yesterday morning (between 7:37 and 7:47 am) via emergency Cesarean Section! He is 18 inches long, and 5 lbs, 14 oz. Just a little guy
I can't post a pic yet, but if you add me on Facebook, I was able to post one there
I had contractions all day on Tuesday at work, and something just felt weird. I came home after work (still wasn't on maternity leave yet, if you'll remember my due date was October 18th) and just rested. The doctor told me to take a shower, relax, and count the contractions so we could go to the hospital when they were consistently every 5-7 minutes. They got worse, then got better, then went back again. Jeff and I went to dinner, came home, watched some tv, and I decided to try to go to bed around 10:30. About then is when the contractions got really bad, and really close, so we called the family and headed into the hospital!
I'll save you all the gory details, just know labor SUCKS. I was in a lot of pain. Around 7 am the staff started freaking out, and it took them awhile to explain things, but his heart rate got really low, everyone was really worried, so they said we had to go for a c-section RIGHT NOW.
All in all he's here and he's doing well

How are you feeling?

That's good. I'm glad you're feeling better. I hope you heal really quickly. I feel shitty. I haven't had any contractions that I'm aware of (I still don't know where I'm supposed to feel them) but my ligaments are killing me. I can't walk, or sit or sleep. I'm just ready for it to be over.
